IE Explorer virus problem?
First of all, why are you on SP2? XP is currently at SP3, and it VERY important to keep a Windows machine current with patches. Secondly, why are you sure it's a virus? What you are describing doesn't sound much like a virus. And how did you try 4 different AV products? It's important to NEVER use more than one antivirus at a time, and it's precious hard to remove one to use another. AVs have VERY low-level access and using two is less secure than one, and three is even less secure. Four might make the machine unusable. It IS okay, and even advisable, to use more than one anti-spyware product, such as AdAware or Spybot S&D. My best suggestion for you is to use HiJackThis to check for browser hijackers. Run a scan, then post your results to bleepingcomputer and ask for help with it. HiJackThis is an advanced tool. Don't try it without help. Run an active online scan at Panda and Google any malware it finds to find removal instructions. As soon as you have your computer running well enough to do it, INSTALL SERVICE PACK 3!
