Where do you charge a laptop? I have a desktop computer and I am thinking about buying a laptop, but I need to?

know where it will be charged and what all will HAVE to be purchased along with it. Can it be run on the same Windows Vista Program that I have for my desktop? And I just paid for a 3 yr. plan under iYogi with McAfee. Would that be included on a laptop? Tell me a little about a laptop. Thanks.
