Why won't McAfee security software let me download Itunes on my PC?

Whenever I try to download Itunes on my Acer laptop, McAfee says that the Itunes software has viruses and is a security risk. Why does this happen? I go directly to Apple's Itunes website ( not a imposter site ). Should I just download it anyway? I used Itunes on another PC and never had a problem. THANKS FOR YOUR HELP!!
