Every time i open itunes, i get the error message that the apple mobile device service is not started. I have followed apple's advice on their website and checked in services that the startup type is automatic, tried manually starting it but it just stops instantly, and reinstalled/updated itunes etc with still the same error message. Also, try restarting your computer in "safe mode with networking" (press F8 before windows boots) if you need to try and download something (like a spyware removal program, I recommend Combofix to start, run from safe mode).

Should I be worried about new virus protection?

How do I remove Vista Security 2012 from my computer?

I've spent all morning dealing with Vista Security 2012, which left my computer unable to do anything. McAfee did not detect it as any type threat, but it kept me from opening up IE, iTunes, Word, and basically anything else. I am pretty sure I tracked the problem down to a file: dtw.exe. The file was just created today, and seemed to have no other purpose. I went ahead and deleted the file (it is still in my recycling bin). I just want to make sure that just deleting this file isn't going to create some harm down the road. So far everything seems to be back to normal. Should I go ahead and permanently delete it? My PC is acting strange?

It all started when youtube couldn't run.A black box appeared with no loading whatsoever.I tried solving with downloading the latest graphics driver,ati catalyst 10.xsomething something.In the install wizard it said it couldn't run on windows xp so i stopped the installation thinking that youtube will work again.Not only was youtube not fixed but i had more problems then youtube at that point.Whenever i scroll in an internet browser depending on the direction a white line goes up and down in the direction i scroll. Also,no computer game will run at all.For example Warcraft 3 just crashes.Please help it's getting really annoying -.- thanks in advance :D.Oh and mcafee didn't find any threats on my pc.

External Hard Drives!? 10pts please help?

Alright I have an old computer, I did a bunch of downloading crap and put it on my 500gb external hard drive. Well my music is on there too! I bought a new computer and I want to put my music back onto CD's. But I dont want to hook the external hard drive up to my new computer if it may have a virus on it. As long as I don't move any of the files on to my new computers hard drive will it stay clean of virus's? I have mcafee for a security suite. I am 21 years old and i will have graduated this December with my bachelors degree in Psychology. If i add up all the bills i will have to pay for every month it would be over $1000 and that sounds like a LOT of money. If i stay at home i could save up a lot more money obviously and have everything taken care of like laundry cooking cleaning etc and have no rent or anything to pay. But im ready to get out there in the real world....i just dont want to be struggling or regret the decision later on. I just want some opinions and feedback on the situation please-thanks!

So here's my current situation. My boyfriend and I, let's call him Harry; Harry and I had been for a little over a year now until I choose to end it on Sunday. So after he left my house he texted me and started accusing me of secretly going on both websites and talking to people, which is as you now know completely untrue. Now after I explained why I was on those websites he refused to believe me and continued to accuse me of his original accusations. Now this wasn't the first time that he had falsely accused me, another example is that he is frequently accusing me of cheating on him. Once he was in the area and he called, I missed his call because I was in the kitchen and I had left my phone in the living room. He freaked out and told me someone else was over and that I was cheating on him. Okay, a few days back I installed Norton 360 onto my pc. I noticed my computer slowing down and it doesn't run as well as before. I used to use McAfee, but it didn't help against viruses AT ALL. Did i ruin my chances of getting back with my ex?

My eyelids have been dry and irritated for about 3 months now. I got a prescribed cream from my doctor that should get rid of rashes but it does thin out the skin which is scary since its on my eyes. I haven't seen big results with this cream since I'm still having this problem (hydrocortisone acetate). It started when I tried this new eye shadow, which is now thrown out. I avoid wearing makeup that is not for sensitive skin, I mainly use hypoallergenic- plus I don't wear much, maybe some mascara. Lately my left eye has been twitching for 5 days on and off. Currently enrolled at a cc, what classes should i take if i want to be a doctor but transfer ASAP to a UC?

im currently enrolled at my local cc and hope to work in the medical field someday, specifically as an obgyn. I just graduated from high school and all i feel at this moment is great regret for not trying to do my best academically and for not applying to many CS's and no UC's ( didn't think i had a chance for UC). I did get into a few cal states but opted not to go as I was told it was easier to transfer from a community college to a UC. Since I'm completely new to all this and no one in my family or group of friends is familiar with all this current college stuff, I need someone to give me some helpful advice from their experience. I'm very confused as to how the whole becoming a doctor process works in my situation. What classes should i take at my cc and how and when would i be able to transfer? If i do transfer what classes am i suppose to take at the cs or uc i go into? then theres med school? I have windows 7... My computer has been acting up lately so I ran a system restore and set my computer to a previous date. When my computer restarted, McAfee hasnt worked right. It WILL NOT turn on real-time scanning. A pop up also keeps coming up saying "Your computer is at risk." It's driving me crazy. The time and date are correct on my computer... Should I Reinstall Vista on my PC?

Hey guys, i have been running windows vista on my Dell pc for about 3 years now. Recently, after my McAfee Anti-Virus expired, i caught a pretty nasty virus. It would not let me install any .exe files. And later would no let me open them either. After going into safe mode, i was able to run a MalwareBytes scan and terminate part of this virus. This morning when I turned on my PC it went directly to the Windows Recovery Menu with the user, "Other User". I could not to log in to it so i tried safe mode, last known configuration, and starting it normally. It would not work. I does not boot properly anymore. I was looking through my discs and i found- Dell Drivers and Utilities, "Operating System" Reinstalliation DVD, and Audigy Sound Blaster. Now I need your help for the next part. This year so far, I've cut my hair 2 times! So right now my hair is a little bit past my shoulders and I have A LOT of layers. I am determined to make my hair grow longer in about 3-7 months. I want about 5-6 more inches. In this moment I'm using a shampoo that I bought at Navarro and its supposed to help your hair grow faster, but it was really cheap and I dont know if its going to work. I plan to thin out my hair as soon as it gets longer. Here's why... I have really thick hair (I have lots of hair) and I've experienced how hard it is wash and take care of it because the weight of the water adds up to the weight of my hair and its hard. So I thought if the shampoo really works by the time my hair is by the length that I want it at, I could just thin it out and it won't be that bad. So what can I use to make my hair grow longer and should I or should I not thin out my hair. Thank you :} <3

Why do I want him back?

Black lines across screen.?

I've noticed just recently that when my computer turns on, black lines flash across the screen then disappear and works fine from then on. But my friend told me that it's due to a virus but my McAfee says I have no viruses. What's wrong with my computer?

I am trying to install my McAfee virus software onto my computer so that my computer can start being safer. However when I am trying to activate the program it keeps saying that I have no internet signal. No matter where I am in the house it says I have no signal. HELP! Laptop Problems! windows 7..Restoring Files and such..?

(go to last sentence if you don't want to hear full story)Okay, i was just looking at the internet and bam something comes up saying that i need to restart my laptop and something about the hard drive, so i did and i expected it to be all gone and it was just a little glitch and then when i log back on a couple of pages saying i have trojans and 6 critical things i need to attend to when i tried to clear it up it kept saying i needed the premium package to do it, i think it was the windows repair thing.. i already payed for a mcafee security thing so i wasn't going to pay �89.99 for another package! (the mcafee said everything was fine, clearly wasn't, norton is so much better) so yeah i tried restarting it like 3 times but same thing all the time, i tried to send some to my email so i would lose some documents but everything my start menu had gone:O all my files and everything, i had lost about 8 hours of research in about 20 minutes, believe me im gutted, everything was on my laptop. so i decided to make a new account to log onto, and i tried making it the administer but i had to be on the administers account to change it and on that account there was nothing there so i had no choice but to delete that account, i now realize how stupid it was as i only have basic files on my new account, nothing i had on my other one, i had all the microsoft stuff (which cost a lot!) and some games i payed for, general stuff like move maker and stuff, there is barely anything left. i have a backup disk which i made when i first got my laptop like 2 years ago, but i cant access any of the stuff, any way i could? down to the point is there any way of restoring those files so where? so how? help would be very appreciated. Really confused about this all?

My ex and I broke up about a year ago in late April. Last June I met someone and we have been together for a year now. My ex and I are still good friends, but it seems like all of the time he brings up about how he misses me and regrets losing me. The main reason we couldn't work out was the distance. You can delete rocketdock if you want it's something you installed not something essential for the computer to run. It creates the Mac-like dock at the bottom if your screen (if there is no dock at the bottom of your screen then you are not using it anyway so you might as well delete it).
